Mapping of a 3D form using colour techniques in drawing. Colour and composition are used to create the impression of a 3D form stretching and twisting throughout the page. This movement gives the impression of depth and extended existence past the edge of the page. The viewer can become lost following the different levels of bricks as they angle within the confined space. I feel the colour palette and square shapes resemble bricks organically growing in 3D giving the drawing life blood glowing beneath the surface, pulsing along different paths as they direct the viewer in ever contradicting directions. The drawing is interesting, it has life, rather than merely being a portrait of an item or study of a particular shape. You can look and interact with the drawing, rather than merely gaze.
